my pc does not detect my midi

hello,
i connected my korg sp100 via midi usb and my pc di not find any hardware
do i need the driver for it to work? or my midi cable is bad
really need solution, please

OK, first off you have to realize that unless a keyboard has a built in USB port it is NOT Plug N Play. I looked up the SP100 and it has no USB port so I assume you are using a USB to MIDI adapter.
