This is keyboard related (should I say Pipe Organ)
Great music! You be the judge.
Melbourne Town Hall has a magnificent pipe organ. The sound is out of this world. I wished I'd seen this concert just for the sound sensation.
Anyway . .
I am going to a "Free" seniors concert at the town hall next week. Just to hear the organ again ☺
Cheers ray

Is the gentleman who's moving his hands in time with the whistling/vocal sound playing a theremin, or ...?

While I don't actually see anything in that video that looks like a theremin I believe the gentleman in question is playing something optical, similar to Roland's D Beam Technology.

Nothing in the comments tells us anything different either.

No wait. You can clearly see the theremin in the first 40 seconds of the video.

It is simply when he is actually playing that the camera fails to capture the instrument in the shot.

It's a plain old fashioned theremin, possibly one of the ones Moog sells these days.

BTW, with the current covid situation I fear the only ghosts to be wandering our streets this year will be real ones. :(

Even in my apartment building this year there are no plans to distribute any candy to our younger residents by our property manager.

None the less I plan to celebrate the night even if I have to do it virtually this year. :)
