I have an annoying glitch with my old Roland Rd600. The piano emits a rapid ticking noise when connected to an amp (a light tap on the casing at the bass end reduces the level of noise). Any one experienced this or have any idea of the cause or cure? Thanks in advance..

I know it's a really long time since this was posted, but I'm answering in case it helps anyone else.
I have had two like this. The problem is in the power supply card, that's for sure. I believe
that it is caused by aging in one of the two big power transistors. The real fix would presumably be
to replace the transistors, but a temporary 'fix' is to cycle power or tap the transistor. I'll let you
know if I find out more.
