There is a block of 8 notes from lower F - white and black keys not working. Happy to take apart but don’t know what I would be looking for or need to replace. Any ideas?

First step would be to disconnect the connectors, clean with Deoxit, then reseat connectors and test.

That's where you start...

Thanks Gary. Are the connectors for each key or for a circuit board? Can you describe the deoxit ……

Disconnect the ribbon cables. Mark them first to get them the right way back.

Spray Contact Cleaner, Deoxit is a brand name, on the connectors.

PLUG THEM BACK IN THE RIGHT WAY.

If that doesn't fix it, take it to a service guy.

The key contacts are something else entirely.

Probably beyond you.

BTW, the problem is an open circuit somewhere in the keyboard multiplexer matrix.

It could be a dirty connector or it's a failed component.

If you see any burnt diodes that would indicate a serious problem requiring a soldering iron.
