Should you mix electric piano sounds or not?

Trying to get electric piano sounds I like on the FA-06 so I often layer 2 or more together. Not sure if it sounds as good as just straight default single sound that's available.

Can you ruin a sound by layering too much ( even 2) like do they get in each others way?
