Studiologic SL 990XP not registering in Windows 10

I have a laptop with Samplitude ProX6 DAW. Midi only connection. I printed the three page user manual. Anyone have experience with the SL990XP model?

using the SL990XP manual, I reset the Bank and Midi to 1. Samplitude found it and all is well.
