    Dear Sir/Madame,

    Three years ago this keyboard was bought, but
    I never succeeded to properly have the midi
    possibility's working.

    Does anybody knows how to get the midi workign?

    Midi -> Soundcard (game port)
    Midi -> Soundcard (more expensive)
    Midi -> USB

    I suspect it is an old type of midi of some sort.
    Please somebody with the same keyboard respond,

    Jaap

    Hello Jaap,

    format 0, 1, 2 has nothing to do with sending/receiving MIDI data
    through cable because that are only formats of .mid files and midi
    data in cable has only one format that is similiar to format 0 data.
    midi self is very old it is improbable that your keyboard midi is too old.
    here is some information about connecting midi keyboard using usb
    http://www.musiconmypc.co.uk/art_keyboard_connection.php
    some keyboards don't send midi automatically, you need to look into the
    manual of keyboard and see if it has some options that have to do with
    sending midi that can be turned on.
    You already tested the driver so at least one direction should already
    work.
    If not then:
    Most frequent midi connection error is to distinguish midi
    connections
    correct is midi in -> midi out and midi out -> midi in
    Sorry I don't have a GEM and don't know anything about GEM keyboards,
    probably it is a keyboard setting that currently prevents from sending
    data to computer.
    Maybe you find special GEM internet pages or other users or
    newsgroups/mailing lists where others have already solved this problem.
