My point is that it's usually not feasible to save a $50 keyboard in the first place and secondly the guy in video actually did get it working at the end

I did like the way when he took the screws out and said to keep them safe and then threw them on the floor.

You folks may be different but I cannot get emotionally tied to a keyboard such that it has to be kept at all costs, now a guitar on the other hand is worn, t becomes part of you, it has a soul.

I have to agree with you there. Unless it's a really simple and cheap fix, It just gets to the point of diminishing returns.
