Let’s be real – if Alesis and Novation were a synth kid, they'd be the quiet one in the music store that suddenly drops a jaw-dropping Chopin piece out of nowhere. 😄
From punchy grooves to clever controllers, these brands deserve way more spotlight. Time to give them their own category!

I owned an Ultranova a long, long time ago. I found the interface inconvenient and frustrating. Like most of the budget synths in that price range they cheaped out on controls, substituting software menus for hands. on knobs and sliders.

You probably had one of the weaker models. Plus, it was only monotimbral. The old Supernova synths sound fantastic and are a joy to use!

They had the same clipping artifact and aliasing problems most VA synths did in those days,

Dating a fat girl is like riding a moped. They're both fun to ride but you wouldn't want your friends to see you on one. :D
