Hi! I've just bought this and it currently has an issue where the volume jumps up. The volume will still increase/decrease with the volume slider, however at an increased level (i.e. when this happens the minimum volume is about as loud as the max volume would normally be).
Does anyone have any thoughts as to what the issue could be?

Possibly/probably just a flaky pot.

Try squirting a little Deoxit into the slider and working it a bit to see if that fixes it.

Otherwise you may have to look at replacing the slider.

See above post, probably the issue. I have an old analog phone that has a built in mic and speaker system. It has a volume slider pot and that pot acts flaky as well, but the opposite of yours, sometimes at loudest volume it suddenly goes to min volume. I have to slide the pot up and down several times to restore the volume and then in a little while it does it again. You may have to end up replacing the slider potentiometer but try cleaning it first.

Thanks for your replies :D
I don't think it's an issue with the slider, I've tried to have a fiddle with it but no adjustment of this changes anything (nor causes the problem)

Although the volume increase tends to happen at random points, I did manage to get it to do it by pressing (or spamming a little) some of the buttons, it's almost as though it's causing some sort of interference. I've attached a link to a video to hopefully show what I mean.

In terms of the volume effect, it's not just maxing out, it's as though a gain's been applied to the volume, so adjusting the slider still adjusts the volume but just at an overall level. It does have a secondary digital volume control which I thought may have been glitching out but the volume on the display never changes so I don't think it's that
