I just realized that Yamaha has a Nu1x and a N1x (I thought they were the same thing). I can't find anything on the Internet (or my eyes are too poor) that explains how they differ. I was curious if anyone knows that.

I haven't done a spec-to-spec comparison yet, but the most obvious difference is that the NU1X is an upright piano whereas the N1X is a grand piano.

I think their key action and sound modeling may differ accordingly, but as far as how they compare in terms of the voices and other features, you'd need to do a side-by-side comparison of their Data Lists.

The specs webpage for the N1X also had columns for the NU1X and two other models, so I removed the irrelevant columns, assembled some screenshots of the specs, and highlighted the differences:

I also checked the voices in the MIDI Reference, and it turns out that there are some differences:

Sorry, I can't get the big comparison to post at the normal size.

I removed all of the rows that are the same, so this version just shows where the differences are.
