GREETINGS from North Carolina! Yamaha DGX-660 is my new friend!

Recently upgraded to a more advanced and complicated Yamaha keyboard so I'm hoping to find resources to learn about this device and to be able to use more of the features. I've already solved one mystery using this forum! Thanks to Biggles for his rather simple fix to a perplexing problem!

I do hope you got a good deal on your DGX 660 as three weeks ago at the virtual NAMM show Yamaha announced the DGX 670, a bottom up total redesign.

I think I got a good deal on it and I know that when you buy any type of digital thing these days it is obsolete. My view is that it is a nice step up from the Yamaha P-70 that I have used since 2007, even if I only use the basic functions! There are things about it that annoy me, like having the plug in jacks and some of the switches in the back, hidden from view since I have the keyboard up against a wall in my studio. I also don't like that when you plug in headphones, you can't easily have the speakers also active. It would be nice to have built-in Bluetooth, to be able to easily listen and play along with songs or with backing tracks. My wish list is getting longer!
