Unless I'm incorrect, the only semi-weighted oxygen pro keyboard is the 61. I need at least a 73 for my purposes. Any other ideas?

Hydrasynth Deluxe. Yes, its got sounds, but you can also use it as just a controller, and it's a pretty decent one. Some info about this at
(though the demo is not with the 73 key version).

That's got to be crushing! Sintaur has a new main board for $699.95:

Indeed. In the shop. I'm awaiting the total cost verdict. Thanks for your heartfelt understanding and input. My 1/4 cable tapped a metal floor grating and poof.

Thanks all for your replies. But still looking for midi controller with
73 or more keys
Semi Weighted
Mono or Poly aftertouch
Plenty of split zones
A good quality keyboard
++JOptions if possible+++
Faders on left side
Not too dedicated to specific software.

Kurzweil PC4-7 seems to be available again. It has mono aftertouch (as opposed to the Hydrasynth I suggested which has poly AT), but it has some of the other things you want. Plenty of split zones (16), faders on left side. So it depends which of these things you prioritize.

There are some lower end 88 semi-weighted boards with aftertouch, too (Nektar GXP88, some Numa Compacts) but since budget is not the concern here, I don't think they would be worth the trade-offs.

Interesting input thank you! I'm a veteran keyboard player but am relatively new to using VSTs. So how would you rate this as a MIDI controller. Is it hard to set up/use? Extensive scripting seems a bit intimidating to me.

Numa Compact 2X. Semi-weighted, synth action but beautifully responsive Fatar keyboard. Limitation: It only sends on chs 1 or 2. Receives on all 16.

You guys missed the rule: "No fully weighted suggestions pls."
I have a triple sensor Fatar T-40 M keybed in my Nord. It's a 73 key waterfall, semi-weighted. It's just OK. I was doing the intro to Locomotive Breath live, and when I play with sensitivity and try to milk every note - a bit of a fail compared to a good acoustic piano. Just commenting. I still find the keybed totally usable. I don't think anyone can notice but me.

Numa Compact 2X.
Yeah, I mentioned the Numa Compacts earlier. But with budget not the issue, I think there are better choices.

If it's a 73-key waterfall semi-weighted, it's a Fatar TP/8O. It's available with aftertouch in the Nord Stage series.

Thanks. I was having a hard time determining exactly what was in my Nord. I think I'll be gigging with a Roland V Stage soon. Not sure what the keybed is, but I'm researching.
