I need a portable midi bass module for my keyboard set up without a computer

What do you recommend. Want a selection of bass sounds (from upright to tweekable sounds) that don't sound like they are from 2001. Having no luck.

Roland TB-3? I own one and as far as sounds go it ain't half bad. Touchscreen interface is better than a bunch of buttons and knobs as well.

If you're looking for an old fashioned drum and bass box that will be at home in any C&W band then look at the Roland Boss DR-880.

Good enough to play most of the bread and butter sounds before Y2K.

Not sure if that is what you are looking for but the cheapest, coolest and pocket size bass module is Korg Volca Bass. :)


or you can try Roland clones from Behringer TD-3
