Is a Blue Tube DP a good idea?

Hey y'all! I'm new hear. I've been playing piano for 25 years, and currently I'm using a Yamaha MOX8. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on preamps. I'm considering purchasing a Blue Tube DP. If someone has an opinion on this particular one or another possibility I'd greatly appreciate it!
And of course I'd like to hear if y'all think running a preamp is a good idea at all. I was hoping it would warm up the sound a bit...
