Hello I would like to exchange my Oasys for a Nord Stage 3.
I've bought it one year ago from a friend and finally, it's too close from my Kronos even it's not the same workstation and too heavy for moving with it.
Everything works. Last OS fully registered.
Comes with its init CD, a brand new motherboard, a complete set of push-buttons and the bundle Monster Pack MKIII + The Endless Floyd Anthology from Synthonia.
Photos on request if interested.

Just FYI an Oasys76 is worth about $2k CAD and a NordStage3 88 is worth about $6k, so you may not get many takers, unless someone really wants 20 year old hardware. (which people do; they still collect Technics keyboards, and Technics Keyboards closed shop at the end of 2002). The very prized Technics KN7000 is also worth about $2k CAD

Hello,
I didn't write NS3 88 but 76.
I think you did some mistake for the price of a second hand NS3 (76 or 88 it's equal): usually between €, 1500 and
€, 2000. Less the price for an Oasys that many people still consider much more better than a Kronos (I own both).
If I don't find an exchange, I will sell it, I soon have many offers as it's relatively rare now and apprecieted, maybe you don't know this workstation.
For your information, here is the price for a brand new NS4 88, very far from your 6000...
Regards

I'm a dealer, and I started here in the 70's, so I've seen a *lot* of retail (coming up on 5 decades of experience. Deja beaucoup longtemps!). I do know the values of the instruments, *but* with the caveat that is local values only.

We sold the last dozen *new* Nord388's on clearance for $5699; yes i saw you put 76, but i used the 88 because that was significantly more popular (here, in western Canada); we only had on stage3-76 when the stage 3's were discontinued, and that went for $4999. We didn't set those clearance prices, Nord did.

Stage4-88 is $8099 CAD

I also chose the Nord388's because 2nd hand have been available ; typically between $5k to $6k here (depending on condition); so if mint, they sell used for exactly the same price as we blew them out for new, hence why I mentioned that specific model.

If you can find them in europe for €, 2000, that's absolutely amazing; and I'd consider yourself lucky! Sadly here, it works out to about €3500 for a used stage3-88. The Stage 376 used in western Canada is incredibly hard to come by, so it ironically fetches the same amount as the S3-88

That is also amazing that your Nord S4-88 is $1170 CAD less (€4275 is only $6929 CAD!) than ours here! We had had a *used* s4-88 sell for the same price you posted!! Regional price differences are wild.

For the record, I've had a similar discussion with an online buddy in Slovenia, and we were both incredibly surprised at how different prices on both sides of the pond were; for example, in Europe, PSRsx900 was nearly double the price of the PSRsx700 (1.89x), whereas in North America, that ratio is only 1.42x; and those ratios have continued into the PSRsx720/sx920 generation. So in Europe the mid range is the obvious choice, whereas in North America, the top of the line is the obvious choice!

And (perhaps unsurprisingly) the average price was actually the same; but sx700 was lower than sx700 here, and sx900 was slightly higher priced than sx900 here.

By comparison, I've never even seen an Oasys 76 sell 2nd hand (neither has reverb.com) but the Oasys88 last sold for $2300 CAD, and we've had listings on craigslist for oasys 76 and 88 both for under $2400 asking price.

But again, that's local; that's why I specified CAD in all my prices.

But yes, I can assure you that in western Canada, a Stage 388 would fetch 3x an Oasys88; and likewise s3-76 vs oasys76

In fact, we will still happily take stage 2s and 3s in on trade, but we stopped taking oasys in on trade almost 20 years ago.

Not trying to disparage your gear, just letting you know what it would be worth *here* since I didn't know your location, but assumed France. Perhaps a dealer more local to you could chime in.

Nous on parler bientot!

Mark
