Wow, no words. Hello everyone. Go read my many open public posts some since 2001 (EX5tech.com now YMusicians) and the moderator? he's, well, I can't say here, but using kinder words he's seemingly very passive-aggressively first acting all concerned and then criticized and demeaned literally everything I did and said and if I didn't do as he told me.... It got creepy. Nothing to do with forum rules I was kind and polite and helped everyone never once humiliated or condescended anyone or ever fought. He never said a word for years was normal then all of the sudden something snapped. It's all in text in my posts if he hasn't removed them make of it what you will. He appeared to make up a rule I had to narrate my YT videos or I couldn't post them on the forum but never mentioned this once after years of posting my videos. Where's that in the code of forum conduct? Once you are banned you can no longer defend or explain anything which is really a shame people will think I died essentially you get "disappeared". Last night I got to thinking, all my hundreds of contributions, once I'm banned, how is it legal that the forum retains my intellectual & personal property and knowledge and yet I'm no longer allowed to access it even to update or remove and change something? That can't be legal because where does it say "if member is banned we now own their property and they can't edit their content or remove it?". As long as I'm an active member my stuff is there with my permission. Once banned don't they have to delete it all because I can no longer access it? Obviously none of this should be a concern to anyone until someone does something like this in an apparent gross abuse of authority. If a moderator here doesn't approve of a post just remove it. Why permanently ban a productive 57 year old professional & fellow human being who loves gear and music and contributes daily? Personal prejudices is what I believe. If I tried to explain my thoughts and position and my situation he would come back repeatedly telling me I was wrong or how to change it. My IT professional read what he wrote on the forum said he was wrong because he as telling me how my computer works. It kept getting weirder as it went. If we as adults don't agree just move on and let live as we must mutually respect one another. We don't have to agree but shouldn't ever be singled out or targeted. We shouldn't take a personal offense and ban someone because we can or because they disagree with us. It's so embarrassing and I don't mean for me. Unless some of the same members are over here, my friends over there will never know what happened to me. I demo a lot of keyboards if anyone needs help or has a question please let me know. They left a bad taste in my mouth after many years you know that feels you don't really want to get involved anywhere anymore. It's essentially starting all over from nothing. Thanks to all, David

Thanks guys! And to Melbourne I own the Delia and all that other stuff listed under my profile. Also, on YouTube hundreds? of gear videos if it helps anyone I don't get paid I'm just a novice that makes noises.

About the "Enter" key I typically will go back and add that (separate into paragraphs once I get my thoughts on "paper") however it appears now I'm locked out of it after a reply has occurred. The other forum didn't work like that I could always and forever edit anything no matter how long it got. Sorry unless there's a way.

That's worrisome if I write someone in error or needs updating etc. I can't ever go repair it? Must keep that in mind.

It has been an on going issue here of recent times. The huge chucks of text are difficult to read and comprehend.

You can always go back an edit. As long as you do it before any replies. Your first reply came in more than an hour sfter your original posting.

Generally, you would format your text as you type it. Not after you send it.

Anyway, moving forward now. Welcome to the forum. Look forward to your future posts.

Ray.

Welcome

I browse using an I pad and large blocks of text are very difficult to read so plase do us a favour and review your text and break it up into manageable paragraphs.

We do have a tendency to wander off topic very easily, especially a number of us who have been here for a few years.

I just fixed it this way at the bottom if it helps anyone coming in later after the fact.

As I mentioned that in the other forum I could always edit anything without any time or constraint limitations so this is new to me. I have also typed everything out in my email as an editor and then just "cut & pasted" it because sometimes that forum would glitch or time-out and you'd lose everything.

I personally think I caused that forum to expand & I contributed endlessly. I would post about new gear and they would make new sub-sections for things such as Ketron and others I'd have to refresh my memory.

Keeping in mind many there were either guitar or arranger focused players so really not much of an interest in all my synth offerings. I was probably in the wrong place so unfortunate to have invested all the time and energy for one guy in a single moment to decide to end it all.

I can do it again but it's just discouraging I might not become that active anymore once you consider thousands of hours all in good musical fun and to contribute and now I can't even access one of thousands of contributions I made there. It's very insulting actually.

Consider it happens to you here you've been here 25 years etc. or even 2 years and you are logged out never to log in again and you never know why, Censored and cancelled and robbed instantly without notice. It's just the principle of the matter.

Uncivilized childish people exist. I realize it's not an employer or over something important but when you become deeply ingrained it is as-if it's your family for a really long time. You assumed there was mutual professional respect only to find out you're considered worthless.

I would never ban anyone unless they were causing literal fights, I mean just don't read their stuff or remove the posts that are in question. Simple adult decisions. Banning is a sin as-if something unforgivable happened which it did not and not even close.

I think psychologically when we get our feelings hurt we resort back to childlike tendencies just by nature maybe out of our logical control. Still not sure why that happened anyway as I was the one being abused by condescension, thread stalking and new made-up rules on the spot. I mean what person tells someone they have to narrate a YouTube video else have it removed? A narcissist or control freak? Saying he's an atheist or how to work my computer etc.? Jekyll & Hyde personality.

Honestly now I recall I had posted all the positive comments and "likes" on my video without any narration only making my point and I'm betting he went bonkers. It's absolutely fair game to be able to make a point with proof and evidence. Wouldn't a logical person consider "likes" as a positive objective non-bias non-prejudice evaluation and recant or relent their argument? He banned me for that I believe, proving him wrong that videos do not need narration to be successful. Then I found his video and guess what? He had no narration.

We as typical humans have people who like us and people who do not. All very normal and to be expected nothing of a any surprise whatsoever. But if you run into "authority" and they decide to end you that's a very sad situation for anyone. We should NOT live in fear or under control beyond the obvious hard rules already established.

We can't make up new rules and go on a witch hunt or weaponize the law because we don't care for an individual. Just remove the thread it's as simple as that IF it's controversial or causing discord or fights over race, religion or politics the obvious situations. There's already a solution in place. I think here and everywhere it says "Report" at the bottom. Just remove the thread or post don't ban anyone unless they get belligerent.

A view of my musical areas but don't think I own all this I must sell and trade to survive but the hand-on experiences are good to own. All demo'd or most of them on my channel. I pay every penny for them like a regular person.

Just one of several examples and BTW I never posted any new videos those were the old GS Music e7 videos I added for reference. I even bought a mixer to add narration just to make him happy. But you can see him making up new rules that he never mentioned once before.

To me it's analogous to me being banned on this forum for not using the "Enter" key. This is listed under the topic "Personal mixer & camera for YouTube videos" essentially created just to make him happy all about my narration setup.

A guitar player who also had no narration in his own video BTW doesn't understand about synth sound design as a synth person would understand and follow what I did easily and "random" sounds is what sound design is all about. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Worthy of banning? No. Just remove the post if you're so unhappy.

Just a few examples of all my content and contributions only in one of many areas this just in one space called the "Chill Out" room. Sorry I missed one check on wrong person. Point is endless contributions. Nobody needs to follow anyone if they aren't interested in them or their content. The moderator doesn't need to hound and hound and hound. A few things he didn't like shouldn't overshadow and other hundreds that he said nothing about.

I'm speculating but ultimately he's almost exclusively a guitar person who didn't understand or relate to the synth lover world. Just didn't understand why the overreaction. In reasonable reaction just develop a system of demerits, which I still think is really silly, but if you reach 10 then you're banned so at least you have a way to gage the situation. I'm intelligent enough to come up with actual solutions before banning someone. That I know of I've never been reported for anything. My positives far outweighed any reason he could even come up with.

Youknow I really don't give a damn about your flame war with some mod in some forum that I've never read, but enough with your whiny cry for attention. What the hell is your problem buddy? You want to tell the world what a bucket of sunshine your life truly is? What I don't need is a legal technical document proclaiming that you invented tomorrow's VCO.

Lay off the ritalin man. You're all over the frigging map.
