Up to now I've just been doing straight piano across the whole keyboard playing chords in left and solos in the right, but now decided on the following:

The right part of the keyboard have added a 2nd piano sound one octave lower from A upwards. Really does bring out the solos better and doesn't affect also playing chords with the right too.

Added reverb to that bit only too.

You'll might find that adding a second piano (of a different patch of course) at the same octave will also help bring your solos more to the forefront.

I was using a different piano sound for it already but had to be octave lower I felt.

I'll try your idea too.

I also do that for some songs and capture it on my Registration memory in the bank for that song.

Liking the honkey tonk added in. That really is a nice sound and of course it's not in the left hand interfering with the chords. 😎
