Hi, Complete newbie here. I'd really appreciate if anyone has some suggestions about where I should start in learning midi? Is there a good book on the subject (midi for dummies, etc.)? I have a Yamaha Moxf8 and am both trying to learn how to use it and also looking for good books on self-teaching oneself the keyboard. Presently I've just been learning one song at a time from easy piano songbooks.
Any advise would be great. Thanks

See my reply to your other post about online resources and as for MIDI and Music Theory Textbooks, your best source is Amazon's best sellers and buyer reviews. They are usually bang on about which books are most or least helpful and worth the money.
