Midi Clock between external sequencer and DAW

Hello to all,
I come to you to try to find a solution to my problem.
Indeed, I try by all means to synchronize my Arturia Beatstep and or my Nektar Audio with Reason or Ableton.
And I always meet the same concern, that is to say that it notes sent sound late (control of delay does not change anything) but especially that they are random.

On a 1/4 loop, the first keystroke will always be a few ms late and if I loop, each keystroke it taps a few seconds apart.

I tried to change the Usb port, to change the cable, to change the sound card, to change the external sequencer, nothing to do the problem persists
I also tried on Ableton, same fight.
I updated all my drivers. and as it did not work, I even redid a new installation of Windows 10. but I dry royal.
It's not a latency problem in my opinion since it plays (check with midi view) each note has 3ms of difference.

I implore you to help me! I'm very angry.

Thanks in advance.

I have posted the same post on midi.org, if you want more info -->

The beatstep and the nektar will not make a sound without a vst.

Check your DAWs and see what instruments are loaded.

Load up a system monitor program and see what percentage of cpu cycles they are using.

Also see if you can kill any resident processes.

Truth be told, if you couldn't be bothered to post the same message on both websites, I couldn't be bothered to go offsite to read it.

But I think you are barking up the wrong tree asking there.

If it's actually a reproduceable bug they'll take notice but personally I think it's a simple case of too many clock signals at once or slow firmware. The CPU's in those controllers you mentioned aren't exactly state of the art. could be a firmware bug. Could be a hardware limitation.

I owned a beatstep years ago and it worked just dandy with my linux equipment.

But the CPU in that thing is like USB 1.1.

Sometimes you just get what you paid for...

This problem is only with windows apprently.

In first i've buy the beatstep, only for the sequencer.

Unfortunnaley , the problem of latency/sync on it is apparently known on many other user.

I then bought the nektar, thinking that the problem was with the beatstep.

I contacted Arturia, Nektar Audio and Reason and none of them could give me an answer or solution.

I'ts a problèm of jitters ..

my question was:

Would installing an older version of windows works better or would I have to buy a fuc*** g mac to get proper midi clock sync?

Or any other solution as a external midi clock .

Sorry for my bad english.

Thank you Happyrat

I've tried , so it's impossible.

I'm really completely bewildered by this situation.

After 6 months of searching, I still haven't found a miracle solution.

Is it the beatstep that sucks? Should I buy a better sequencer, knowing that it could have exactly the same problems?

Are there any hardware interfaces to cleanly manage midiclock?

Ideally, I'd just like a hardware sequencer to be able to work better on reason.

Or, on a live install, load a lowlatency kernel.

Or get smart.

If you ever fancy a career in music, get a mac.

I don't want a career! I just want ****ing synchronization on my hardware synth with my Pc.

I know that with a Mac I probably wouldn't have had this problem.

It is not my question, so thanks you for your interest
