Newbie looking to build a very specific type of MIDI controller

Hi everyone. I’m looking to build a MIDI controller that is pressure activated, and every time a trigger comes through it, it moves forward one note at a time in a sequence of pre-recorded notes.

I dont have experience with this though I have some musically inclined people ready to help. They just dont know the MIDI side. Its for an art project.

Is there someone available on here who I might chat with on or offline about advice and guidance?

Tell your tech to use an arduino or raspberry pi.

Both have excellent open source MIDI libraries.
