Hi to all.
I have been using a. Behringer UMX25 midi keyboard with MuLab loaded on an HP computer running W10. this has been ideal. Connection to an iPad also has been very successful . In the quest for a larger keyboard I have come by a Roland ED. PC 300 which is what I feel would fit the bill. However I am stuck with the connections. I'm using just a USB lead to power it and with the selector switch to USB the power light comes on but goes off after 20secs. The rear panel lay out is: Slide switch ( USB.OFF.DC), DC INPUT 9v , USB SOCKET, SLIDE SWITCH (Pc/ Keyboard), MIDI OUT. (Multi pin ), 1/4 jack for sustain. Hope you can help, Baz

Have you tried powering the keyboard via adding a power supply to it?

I did buy a Roland Midi keyboard but it would not operate just via the USB connection, it needed a power supply or a connection via a powered USB hub.
