Record a Style to an already recorded song?

Title pretty much covers the question.

I do see thte various pedal settings, such as main1, 2 and 3 etc. As I experiment with styles, recording etc, I'm thinking that having each style setting (1,2,3, or 4) set to a pedal may not be ideal. If using all 4, then all 4 pedals are used up.

I did a bit of playing and trying to record the style after the song, and have not discovered a way to do that. What I tried was this:

• Record Song
• SElect style
• Press record, and turn off the channel for the song to not record, but not turn off playing.
• Put style on Sync Start.

No workee. I'm guessing it can't be done, but thought I'd see what folks here can tell me about taht.
