Sustain pedal on a Vonyx Max KB8

Hi y'all,
I've just bought this electronic keyboard to learn to play the piano and I wanted to buy a sustain pedal but I only have three sockets on my keyboard:
The mains plug
One for the microphone
And one for headphones

Do you think or know that I can buy a pedal and plug it into the microphone socket and that it will work?

I think I'll learn without a sustain pedal and then change to a keyboard that has a socket for that.
