Trying to get a Casio WK-7600 to work with a Yamaha FC4A

The main problem I am having with the Casio WK-7600 and Yamaha FC4A Sustain / Assignable foot pedal is that when my foot is not touching the Sustain pedal it Sustains the notes and when I press the sustain It acts if the note is not sustained. So basically the Sustain Pedal is working opposite than it should (sustain when pressed and normal note when more pressed). I have tried the leave the Sustain Pedal plugged in and repower but that has had no effect. I called Casio Tech Support that they had no help for me. See when you research the Yamaha Sustain pedal it is always set at negative polarity or on a closed setting and I need to get my Casio WK-7600 to recognize it as such to work correctly.

If anyone has any help or suggestions I would be most grateful.

Throw the pedal away. It is useless to you. Get your money back if you still have the receipt.

Buy a universal Pedal like the M-Audio SP-2. They're cheap, they're sturdy, they're switchable.

Throw the pedal away.

Same thing happenned to me. The pedal plugged in activated the sustain without even using my foot. I chucked it. It was a cheap plastic one.
