Yamaha np-31 corroded batteries no sound

No sound from my yamaha np-31. Stupidly left the batteries in for too long and they corroded. But a clean of the corrosion has not solved the lack of sound from the speakers and no obvious damage to anything other than the battery compartment and battery wiring. Any tips on how to source the fault?

Clean the contacts with a mild solution of water and baking soda.

Let it dry out thoroughly.

Have you opened up the unit or did you just clean from the outside?

Check if any of the leakage fell thru the cracks and lodged in the internals,

That's all I can think of for now.
