Brand new Pa5x with 88 key keyboard not working

I just bought a brand new Pa5x and cannot get the 88 key keyboard to produce any sound. It feels like the keyboard is disconnected from the arranger.
Is this a hardware problem or something that can be fixed with a factory reset?

Contact the vendor to see if it's a simple hookup problem.

He should be able to talk you thru a few simple tests on the phone.

If not, send it back.

Without more info any questions we ask could be con-screwed as dumb.

ie what mode are the sliders in?

In one mode the sliders act as individual volume controls for each layer.

The 5X has no internal amp or speakers so if you have powered speakers attached are they turned on, is a set of headphones plugged in and is the volume turned up? See, dumb questions.
