How to set metronome for 3/4 time on Casio WK-500

Can anyone help me set my wk-500 for 3/4 time? The manual is not very helpful on this subject. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What happens if you set "Beats per measure" to 3 as per section "Changing Beat per Measure on page E-11 of the manual?

Why not just use a 3/4 rhythm preset?
