Hammond XK1 Memory Restore

So as I suspected, my repaired Hammond defaulted to factory resetting. Thankfully, I backed it up to a Sequencer because Hammond didn't think ahead at the time to install any sort of USB/Flash card/floppy disk memory back up.

This is where I'm stuck. I've gone into "Midi" and turned "on" Receive Dump. Midi out from M3 to Midi In of Hammond. Turned on M3 sequencer, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand...nothing. No handshake or anything. Manual is not helpful.

What am I missing?
