Hi! I'm a seasoned keyboard player. Been playing in rock bands since I was teenager. Started playing in Pittsburgh in '67.
I am an old school musician, having most of my experience on a Hammond B-3 and electric pianos. Now I use electronic keyboards (mainly because it got where I could not lug that B-3 around anymore.) Because of that, I know enough about electronic keyboard to be dangerous. Frankly, I eventually figure things out, but occaisionally get into trouble because something changes and I don't know what the heck I did, or I want to do something that I can't figure out how to set it up. So, that's why I joined here: to get some help on occaision.
I do not have real good equipment (hey! you get what you can afford). But it gets the job done and sounds great over a good sound system.
I use a Yamaha PSR-1100 over a Studio logic 88 weighted-key keyboard (which is a slave to the Yamaha.). I use the Yamaha for all the utility voices like organ, brass, synth and strings, etc. And the 88 keyboard for all the piano work.
