I like the idea a lot but he seems to be including “organ” as a “synth” with the inclusion of The Doors and J.S. Bach.

I won’t go down the piano/organ road but here are some other excellent synth riffs/hooks/licks that quickly sprung to mind. More will no doubt pop into my head later:

Don’t Change - INXS
1999 - Prince
Just a Girl - No Doubt
Funky Town - Pseudo Echo version
Africa - Toto
Centerfold - J. Geils Band
Rebel Yell - Billy Idol
Sweet Dreams - Eurythmics
Kids in America - Kim Wilde

Hey, I absolutely admire your work!
So many different pianos, you can tell at once that you love your job.
I've got a new hobby, too. I want to sign up for classes. But for that, I have to have my own piano. I'm starting a search now, maybe you can give me advice, I looked at the site pianowatcher.com, I'm thinking of ordering online because there's no time to shop anywhere else or I need to look for something more expensive than 500 $ ?

Thank you for the advice. I'll take it into account when I will buy it.
I'm most attracted to the Yamaha P45! https://pianowatcher.com/#yamaha_p45b I think it's gonna be my final choice. Because as for me, it has an easy interface.

Bobby.

None of the DP’s in the $500 cost range are going to be very extensive in their control interface.

The Yamaha has their GHS key action.

The Roland has their PHA-4 key action which is the same as in their brand new $2000 RD-88.

Whilst both are great, to me the Roland nails it with their keybed compared to the Yamaha.

If you up your budget to $700 then much superior DPs come to the fore

In my order of preference.

Roland FP30
Kawai ES110
Yamaha P125
Korg D1

With the wildcard
Casio PX S1000

I have to add a less... "classic" example, so...
Some of the songs of Years & Years has nice riffs imo, for example;
- King
- Meteorite
- Desire
- Hallelujah

and also their Japan CD b-side - Coyote.

What needs to be said about Echoes.

Perfect in every way, each band member in harmony with each other in their performance.

Such is life.

- Rock Me Amadeus
- Madu & Racun (Bill & Brod is the artist)
