Kurzweil K2000r Volume and Pitch Adjustments

Greetings

I've went through the manual and I do not understand two things.

1- How do I adjust the octaves ( or pitches ) of both layers ? I cant find how to get to the 2nd sound or layer.
2 - How do I turn the whole thing up or down when saving so all are the same volume?

Any help appreciated
