I have an SP6 and suddenly started producing distorted sound. I changed cables, mixer and amp, I replaced my adapter with the right one 12v and 2.5a. but still I get the same problem. Does SP6 have an on board battery? I opened and checked, I didn't see one. Maybe I missed it. Please any response, maybe it can help.

Do you also get distortion through headphones? If so, that might indicate a problem with capacitors failing.
This might sound dumb but make sure you are not plugging the output cable to your mixer/amp into the headphone socket on your SP6. It is positioned fairly close to the Audio Out sockets and it would be an easy mistake to make.
