I would love to play a keyboard. I am a 60 yr old male with time to learn. Always wanted to learn. Don't have a clue what to buy. Weighted keys? soft touch? I just want to learn how play. never will be a musicain. I used to play guuitar and I found a cheap guitar very hard to play. Sound quality not a real big issue, kinda hard of heariing. sure would appreciate some guidance here. Tx John

There are some keyboards with built-in education, and ability to show a note score on the LCD screen. Perhaps there is someone around here who could give a clue which one is the best, if you would like that kind of function in the keyboard.
(I have only noticed that there are such education programs, but I have no idea which one's the best.)

Casio have the key-lighting system - http://www.casio-intl.com/emi/key_lighting/

I must say I learnt a lot of my playing with a very similar function on an old Casiotone.

The lower (read "cheaper") end of the Yamaha PSR series have music tuition systems (Y.E.S - Yamaha Educaiton System) built into them as well (play along to songs etc)

The you have - youtube - with many tuition videos on there too.
