PA5x Update v1.3.1 problems.

I seem to remember the advice on the Korg Forum to reload your custom setting was to uncheck the Settings.

That way your Songbook, Setlists etc would be the ones loaded.

Does not seem right reloading your Settings from the SaveAll.kst file as this would over write the updated Settings in the OS update.

I am greatly confused at the moment!

Your whole KST custom resources will be untouched ...

He basically said *not* to roll back, but do this instead

Thanks for posting this, but I have am confused on one point. To review, when I installed 1.3.1 and reloaded my saved Custom Resources .KST, all of my Matix files disappeared and the Matrix windows are all blank. If I follow the above steps to do a Factory Restore to Settings, won't that bring back the factory Matrix settings instead of what I had saved to each Matrix pad?

Normally you have lost any custom matrix Pads as well you custom global settings.
Do a trick that might work , after factory restoring SETTINGS , then open your saved.KST folder
click only on SETTINGS and load them , it might restore your custom Matrix PADs , since buffer
will preserve previously loaded KAOSS !

Another tricky way is save in an updated.KST folder only current SETTINGS after restore , copy
both this KST and saved.KST in your computer.
Open updated.KST folder in your computer , you will find 2 folders there , MATRIXPRESET and
SETTINGS , open MATRIXPRESET and replace file Pads.MTP from the relative folder of your
saved.KST and then open SETTINGS folder and replace file My Setting.ksc from your KST.
Then load this modified updated.KST in your Pa5X
Users that need old songbook data might have to delete SongBook.MTP file from
MATRIXPRESET folder but I do not know for sure if those data will remain after update.

You MUST save everything.

No just the Song files.

Updating the OS will overwrite ALL user data, user saved songs, user installed vst’s etc.

You should create what is called a SAVEALL file prior to shutting down your 5X after performing any SAVE routine for songs, playlists, modifying styles and keyboard sets etc.

There is a PDF install info file in the Zip file that details what you need to do to restore the user data
