MIDI Range is 127 notes or 10 and a half octaves... If you have speakers and ears that can reproduce and hear them :D :D :D

I'll stick with the margarine of the music world thank you very much :)

I think flippant responses to this news refects ignorance.
This piano is unique and world class. It has 4 pedals. Did you see that?
There is only one in the world. Did you see that?
This 108 is "breaking news"
Now check out this earlier 102 . .

You are right Ray.

Hats off to the Company and especially to the craftsmen who build this superb instrument, it is a collosal task to design and build such a complex instrument.

The sheer problems of managing pitch variation of the notes due to environmental changes is probably one of the mysteries of design.

Considering that to my old ears anything in the top and bottom octaves of a standard 88 key piano sound almost inaudible I don't really understand the logic of spending a million or whatever to engineer a concert grand that only dogs and teenagers can hear.

I can just imagine what sort of hokey avant garde shite will end up being composed for this instrument in the future.

It's an oddity, it's an interesting exercise in engineering, but earth shattering news it ain't :)

Chances are, in my lifetime I will never hear or see one being played. :p

Gary ;)
