HoiI have a Roland FA07 and play my Taylor acoustic through the KB
Does anyone know if the input jacks on the KB are balanced? The output jacks are for the speakers.
Thanks
I saw the manual but wondered if it was accurate and there was a possibility they were all balanced .Hoi
Output are specified as balanced while inputs are NOT.
Looking at the photo in the manual inputs are MONO

Look on the back of your keyboard should be listed as balanced. The manual says they are balanced outputsI meant ...The output jacks for the speakers are balanced .....
If the outputs for speakers are speaker-level signals for direct connection to passive speakers, they wouldn't be balanced outputs. However, if those particular outputs are meant for active (amplified) speakers, then yes, they could be balanced line-level signals.I meant ...The output jacks for the speakers are balanced .....
I have Yamaha HS8's powered monitors but I was inquiring about the inputs on the FA07.If the outputs for speakers are speaker-level signals for direct connection to passive speakers, they wouldn't be balanced outputs. However, if those particular outputs are meant for active (amplified) speakers, then yes, they could be balanced line-level signals.
Most higher-end active monitor speakers usually have both balanced (XLR or TRS) and unbalanced (RCA or TS 1/4") inputs.
So, what kind of speakers are you using in your set-up? Active or passive?
First you have to understand what is "balanced input/output" for. This is optional and ONLY required if you are using the cable that is longer 25ft. Balanced is to cancel out the noise of long cable.I have a Roland FA07 and play my Taylor acoustic through the KB

According to the FA07's Reference Manual, the input jacks are unbalanced (T/S 1/4") for accommodating unbalanced guitar-level or unbalanced microphone-level devices.but I was inquiring about the inputs on the FA07.
