Why does my Ambient Piano voice say Reverb & Chorus are Not Available?

Not that I have found so far. It only seems to be with the Ambient Piano voice.

I wish I knew what that meant. I am trying to apply the reverb and chorus to the preset Ambient Piano VOICE.

It's plain English.

The DGX line is Yamaha's "prosumer" line.

They cheap out on the Digital Signal Processor and software.

Buy an external effects pedal and patch it in.

Stop trying to teach a pig to fly ...

The reverb/chorus controls are different for VRM voices than for non-VRM voices (see pages 6 and 16 of the reference manual). Since ambient piano is a VRM voice (i.e. with piano resonance modeling), you need to use the VRM-specific controls.

The owner's manual I have shows the table of contents on page 6 and turning the power ON on page 16 (no help). This piano is new for me. Just trying to learn this thing. I watched a video that set the Ambient Piano voice Reverb and Chorus, but when I did the exact same thing, these were "unavailable". Just trying to figure out why. Is the "reference manual" you speak of a different publication, and if so, where can I download it?
