Presently I've been reviewing 88 key keyboards.
One of the things That I noticed, is that whatever keyboard is being reviewed, its set up on a pretty flimsy stand.
Are there any out there that are worth the investment.
I'm talking about a solid unit that will stay in the home.
I'm on a budget so I don't want the price of support equipment to diminish my keyboard purchase.
Thanks for any suggestions.

BTW, if you want your new keyboard purchase to last I insist you also invest in a quality dustcover for your board.

Dust and schmutz in the contacts is the number one killer of keyboards over time.

Also, no food or drink or greasy little fingers near the board, ever!!!!

Here's two good sources of quality dustcovers. The generic ones on Amazon do nothing to protect and actually trap even more dust and aggravate the problem.

Personally I prefer LeCover since their prices are lower and their quality is better.

Budget or not, either way you have to factor in the cost of essentials.

Spend it now or else pay later.

As for the keyboard, low end Casios and Yamahas depreciate so quickly you get nothing for them if you ever need to upgrade and sell them off.

A professional quality board will hold it's resale value for years longer.

Buying a keyboard is a case where getting the cheapest price is not the best option.

BTW, check Craigslist or Kijiji or Reverb.com for better deals on gently used equipment.
