I need convert songs created in Triton to use in Korg Kronos
Korg’s have a steep learning curve.I'm a Korg newbie. I finally purchased a Kronos X 73 after years of lusting and owning and selling a dozen (more) boards along the way. I currently have a Native Instruments SK88 Mk2 as my main controller and I also have a Medeli AKX10 workstation. But to all you Kronos vets: my first reaction is this has to be the worst interface I've seen. I've had it for a week and I still haven't succeeded in playing a .sng file. I've never run across a keyboard with 10-plus steps to PLAY A DEMO!!!!!!!! I love the thing but this is going to be a rocky relationship.
Try the Operations Guide. It has step by step procedures for accomplishing tasks. The Kronos has been built on technology dating back to the M1. Get to know the nomenclature and what specific screen elements are know as. Example- in Combination mode there are "Timbres" not "Channels". In Korg-speak you have to be very specific. In a Song (Sequence) there are "Tracks" not "Channels". And there are MIDI and Audio tracks. In the Kronos "Channels" generally refer to MIDI Channels. And also Note Korg "Writes" parameters into Memory. The only place you will find "Save" is in Disk Mode. Take it slow and be methodical. Knowing how to ask a question will go a long way in getting a solution.I'm a Korg newbie.
