After a 15 year hiatus, I started playing in a band again. I bought a Korg SV-1 and Roland Di for these gigs. However, when I substituted my legacy Kurz SP88 at a practice and gig, all bandmates commented on a a signficiant difference. So, I just sold the SV-1 and I'm using the Kurz. Just bought an E-MU B3 module and i'm trying to get the midi parameters to work. My question is - do any of you undersatnd how to program the SP88? I find it very difficult and time consuming and i don't have the time.. Willing to pay for instruction at this point. I want only three midi set ups: Left hand organ, right hand piano, left hand piano, right hand organ, and then no internal sounds - just the B3 module. HELP!

First off it might help if you posted your location if you're looking for one on one instruction.

Secondly, I'd suggest scouring youtube with kurzweil searches because kurzweil has some excellent video tutorials up for the PC3 series and there should be some backward compatibility in there if you can read between the lines. Hell they may even have a full blown tutorial series online.

Finally if you're looking for major online support check out the forums at http://cunka.com

Pretty much everyone who owns and programs a Kurzweil hangs out on those forums.

One other site worth mentioning is http://ksetlist.com

Observe a few simple rules about social posting and you will be able to download a plethora of free custom setups and programs for the Kurzweil line.

In fact, some of the brilliant people over there actually take requests and enjoy programming for the sheer joy of the challenge.
