Midi 2 keyboards playing each other?

Hi all. Has anyone tried to midi a live rig of 2 keyboards both using midi out to connect to the other? The goal is to have both keyboards play all sounds so the keyboard with the relevant key bed to the sound can be used.

You can often do this simply by connecting the MIDI Out of each keyboard to the MIDI In of the other.
