I have have a used Xp-30 and have followed the instructions on Page 130 of manual and cannot get the pedal that came with the keyboard (Roland --works as hold/sustaint) to work in the controller jack to control speed of rotary (or any other effects). I am thinking I might need a different type of "switch" pedal into the controller jack to do this but don't know much about this. It this the wrong type of pedal to controller the efect assigned to "foot' or could it be something internal with the keyboard?

I am thinking that maybe I need a non-latching "switch" pedal like th eBoss FS-5U but not sure and thought I'd check here first.

I'm playing piano on bottom Kurzweil and 60 and 70s board keys on the XP-30 and don't want to reach up to move the #4 controller slider to swithc the rotary effect on an off during gig.

Thanks for any help as to probably a dumb question..
