This is the one album I'd bring with me to a desert island. The late, great Bo Hansson's Magician's Hat, and this is my all time favorite cut from the album. "The Sun: Parallel or 90 Degrees"

Let's hear your favorites. Which tune gets your mojo going?

Gary ;)

I have Two!
These are from the 70's and both underrated master pieces in my mind. Both Aussie bands.
The first . Sebastian Hardie's . . Four Moments. This one a similar vibe to yours above Gary which I have never heard before and I did enjoy it.

The second . Black Feather's . . At the Mountains of Madness
These are both peerless!
Never has there been any other as good as these prog rock albums.

Enjoy!

Well it all starts somewhere...
then this gem....
.....just for the start. But then I can't forget...
....then this....
...and finally this:

There are many, many others from Vince Clarke, Martin Gore, .....but this would be at the top of the list.

Interesting that you should post The Pet Shop Boys.

We went to see them in an arena concert ( Manchester UK, before the bombing ) and the only way I can be described is as surreal.

It was like watching a two hour music video.

No audience interaction, just a mechanical performance all the way through with quick change performers choreographed in movement to each of the songs.

Totally unique yet enjoyable concert

That arrangement of Rhapsody is superbly brilliant. Listening to the whole orch. sends shivers! Great tune and the classy pianist thrilled me.

I would never have guessed that you were a Gershwin fan. :)

I am not surprised.
Really this is music in the real sense of pure and refined and Paul is a refined gentleman of pure culture.

There are only two of us . . LOL :)

Everyone chokes!

Howard Jones - Equality. Never stopped loving this tune, all time HoJo favourite

Jan Hammer / Jeff Beck - Star Cycle. Damn fine tune.

Tangerine Dream - Love on a real train - Another favourite of mine.

Tangerine Dream . . A little bit spicy movie clip. .

That was Rebecca DeMornay and Tom Cruise from the film Risky businiess.

The film that started Tom's career. There were some other even steamier scenes in that movie and Tangerine Dream did a good part of the soundtrack. They did a lot of soundtrack work in the 70's and 80's.

This one was my personal favorite.

Risky Business has one of the best film sound tracks, mostly Tangerine Dream songs but lots of other classic cool tracks too. Also love the film too. The train scene is a bit spicy but nothing compared to the chair scene lol.
