I am a piano player, so I really wouldn't mind more octaves, but portability is also a factor. What keyboard should I buy? I currently am looking at
Miditech - Midistart Music 49

and
Korg MicroKey 37

What one would you say would be the best? They are about the same price.

Thanks,

Eduard

The Korg Microkey has child sized mini-keys. For a trained piano player that's gonna take some adjustment to play by touch without mistakes.

Secondly we could be more helpful if you told us a few more details.

Are you buying this specifically for gigs or just to have a portable practice keyboard?

They are both "dumb" MIDI controllers meaning they have no built in sounds. Do you plan to connect to a computer or a sound module on the road with these?

You might also find it helpful to read this thread before asking any further questions.

Get back to us with more details after you've read that and we'll be more helpful to you then.
