Everyone too busy dumping bank shares to talk these days?

I'm still trying to segue from cakewalk to logic pro.

The more I learn the less I understand :p

Ray? Col? Jeremy? Cowboy?

Everyone just vanish in a puff of smoke?

Gary ;)

Been busy.

My Sister in Law’s laptop would not allow access, then when I bypassed the log in it was stuffed full of junk on the boot drive.

I have a Presentation to give on DNA so that has taken a lot if time up.

Hospital appointment after hospital appointment.

Dog has had an operation and there is nothing more pathetic than an ill pooch who is a time sponge.

Sister in Law’s birthday so that was another day doing the family thing

Daughter and Grandkids take up another day.

My back is screwed up, so I’m like a bear with a sore head.

Mrs at Physio tomorrow and I am at the Ophthalmologists later in the day.

Mrs at Ophthalmologists herself on Monday.

My car goes in for a recall on Tuesday because some German group of idiots cannot write code for the control system.

My main PC is in need of dropping from a great height.

Laptop, is still playing up.

Printer is now not being seen by the PC following a soddin Windows update

I’ve forgotten where my keyboard is, there is so much paper over it.

Time just goes.

So, in short, you were fiddling around instead of attending to important music matters ;)

(j/k)

That's the trouble with doctors. Once they get a whiff of your urine, blood and stool they suddenly give you the 24/7 job of taking tests to satisfy their morbid curiosity. :p

Computer woes I can identify with. Apple help files read like sanskrit and they are scattered around the terrain like truffles, concealed from human vision.

As for your automobile's firmware update?

Vehicles are just too damned smart for their own good these days.

Maybe it's time to sell everything and bum around on a beach in Thailand :p

Stay healthy friend...

Gary ;)

Ray? Col? Jeremy? Cowboy?

My excuse as follows . .
To be honest, I have been logging in everyday but most of the discussion doesn't appeal to me. Much of it goes over my head and I don't qualify to add any relevant useful advice or suggestions.
I would step up to the plate otherwise.
If this page gets posted then you can be assured that Ian hasn't banned me.

So sweet of you to miss me Gary :) lol!

What's the summer been like in Australia this year Ray?

Last year the whole continent was on fire and this year it's flooding?

Where do you guys go from here?

Summer is over. Been moderate. Not had any extreme heatwaves this year. Quite pleasant mostly in the later part. Early summer was very wet with floods. Heading into Autumn and Winter now we think we will get dry and cold days and no so wet. Next summer is predicted to be extreme heat. El Nino they say. . .we will see.

I have been playing new tunes. . Dave Brubecks "Take Five" in the key of Gm and time signature 5/4 . Quite tricky but rewarding.
Also "The Third Man Theme" trying to get a Zither sounding voice. Got one similar and got it sounding quite nice.
Keyboarding consumes my spare time. I love it.

Love "Take 5". I learn that tune every 4 or 5 years and then promptly forget how to play it. Have you messed around with "Unsquare Dance"? That one's in 7 with a fun hoedown feel.

Cheers,
Nate

Yes Gary,
You are right, was a few months ago.
I searched and found.
There is a follow up by you too.

I cut and pasted . . .

Neither. I have too much pressure in my eye so they cut a hole in it. It's called Trabecolectomy. Hurts like hell! Google it if you're not squeamish. I have to go for more surgery tommorrow. Too much pressure causes glaucoma. You end up going blind.

Eye surgery sucks, best wishes Ray for yours.

I had cataracts that had screwed me up even more than I already am, surgery corrected that but left me with double vision, sod trying to play my keyboard, sheet reading all over the place. OK now.

Mrs has her eye surgery in three weeks, then again a month later.

Mate had twice to spend six weeks lying flat face down on a special bed after his eye surgery.

Thanks Col, But I don't need the surgery.
I am lucky to have healthy eyes. Just need cheap reading glasses for close up reading sheet music, newspaper, internet etc. . .
I have superb long vision without glasses.
My wife is having cataracts done later this year. Best wishes to her :)
Sorry your outcome screwed you Col. That's a bitch. Most people have good results with the laser correcting. So I believe.
More to the point . . Hope Jeremy is okay.
