I am in the market for a keyboard. I have a cumulative of 3 years piano lessons but haven't played in about 30 years. I know I want an 88 key weighted and good quality. I am currently looking at a Yamaha P-115 or a Casio Privia PX-150. Similar in many ways but price. I mainly plan to just get back to playing for fun and personal enjoyment once I hopefully get my skills back. Hubby is taking guitar lessons and maybe we could eventually play together. Need some advice on the keyboards though. Any ideas?

Hi Peggy,

Both models you mentioned are excellent entry level boards.

My advice is to visit a few music stores and audition the instruments in person to find out which one you prefer.

I believe Costco carries the Casio line.

BTW, just a personal; preference but I favor Casio keyboards over Yamaha. Generally more bang for the buck.

Thanks, guys! I went to a music store today and checked them out. Got the Casio. The manager gave me a deal on a bundle of the keyboard, stand, bench, pedals, headset and a book based on what I found on the internet. I'm excited to get started. It's been a long time and I'm probably closer to beginner after so much time, but I think with some determination and lots of practice I'll get there!
