I'm quite new to playing keyboard and I have some question I hope some experienced players can answer:
When playing "strings" or rockorgan hammond b3 sound like background "pads" (is it called pad in english?), in a rock, pop or country song, is there any thumb of rules which octave to play the pad in? I also wonder if there is anything also to think about, like if one should avoid certain notes like sevenths etc?
