@SeaGtGruff I'm glad you haven't lost anything. Comparing to my friends and colleagues I always had sufficient disk space since I remember. I never was into the biggest and most expensive ones, but for my purposes and my needs, I always like to have some extra space.
As I'm into computers since I was a child (ZX Spectrum, Commodore C64, Amiga) and then migration to PC and Mac, I really appreciate and literally cherish some of my old computers. I still have in good condition and working order MacBook Pro from 2007 and ThinkPad X61T from 2006 (if my memory serves me well) - and obviously I have PC and Mac from modern era as well as those ancient ones.
Concluding: I think it's a good time to finish this topic, as we are far away from where we started.
