YDP162 new, power switch not responding

Will play when I unplug and replug, but when I press the off button, it won't then turn on when I press it again. The power light stays on. I It worked perfectly when new three weeks ago.

Defective power switching circuit.

Take it back under warranty.

Classic case of infant mortality. Generally if it doesn't fail within the first month it will never fail, but often it takes some burn in time for fresh components to fail.
